My Timeline and Canvas Are Gone
“I opened my project today and the Canvas and Timeline have disappeared. I can't open them with keyboard shortcuts, and the items are grayed out in the Windows menu.”
Every project has to have at least one sequence. There’s one in the Browser automatically when you make a new project. For the Timeline to be open you have to have an open sequence, no open sequence no Timeline window. To bring back the windows simply double click on the sequence icon in the Browser to open both the Timeline and the Canvas.
If you close your Canvas all the open sequences automatically close. You can however close the Timeline window and the Canvas window remains open. To get the Timeline window back, simply click on one of the tabs in the Canvas and the Timeline will reopen with all the sequence tabbed into it, just as they are in the Canvas.
